Department LLC (“Department,” “we,” “us,” “our”) provides our customers (“you,” "your") with a unique shopping experience featuring uniquely designed jewelry, niche fragrances, and gifts. The items on the Department LLC website, accessible from www.departmentnashville.com (the “website”), were designed and fabricated by artists, meeting our criteria of originality and quality of workmanship. Each piece is individually made, and production schedules attempt, as much as possible, to accommodate customers' delivery requests. However, orders not in stock are subject to the availability of raw materials, production, and delivery schedules. Also, all of the jewelry is manufactured in a studio setting and features subtle variations in detail and finish from items photographed on our website.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to make purchases on our website. By using our site, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and agree to comply with all applicable laws.

Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to ensure that all information on our website is accurate, including product descriptions, pricing, and availability. However, errors may occur, and we reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to cancel or refuse any order placed based on incorrect information.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to images, text, logos, graphics, and design, is the property of Department LLC or our designers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content without our express written permission.

Sales Tax

We are a Tennessee business. Sales tax will be applied if you live in Tennessee or as otherwise required by law.

Return Policy

If you are dissatisfied with any item that you purchased online or wish to exchange it, you may return it to Department LLC under the following conditions, which are strictly observed:

How to Initiate a Return

  • Contact Customer Service within 24 hours of delivery at concierge@departmentnashville.com to determine eligibility and approval for a return or exchange.

  • If eligible, we will email you a shipping label. Items returned with a different label will not be accepted.

  • Unapproved items for return will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Exchange Requests for Items Purchased Online

  • Items purchased on our website may only be returned for online credit and cannot be returned to our store locations for credit.

  • Online credit cannot be used in-store. Exchange requests must be received within 7 business days of delivery.

Exchange Requests for Items Purchased In-Store

  • Items purchased from our store may only be returned for store credit and cannot be returned for online credit.

Condition of Returned Items

  • Returned item(s) must be unworn, in pristine condition, and in original packaging.

Special Orders

  • Items not in stock or made specifically for a customer are considered special orders and are final sale, except where otherwise stated.

  • Altered or modified jewelry is also considered final sale.

Refunds & Shipping

  • Refunds are issued only to the original form of payment.

  • All applicable shipping charges will be deducted from credits or refunds.

Repairs

If an item arrives damaged or requires repair over time, please send a photo to concierge@departmentnashville.com. We will coordinate with the designer or local experts and provide a repair estimate and timeline. Fees and shipping charges may apply.

Lost or Stolen Merchandise

  • We require a signature upon delivery for insured packages. Items lost or stolen before signature are insured and eligible for replacement or store credit.

  • After signature, we are not liable for lost or stolen merchandise.

  • If you waive the signature requirement, the sale is final, and we are not responsible for loss or theft.

Special Orders & Limited Inventory

Due to the unique, handcrafted nature of our jewelry and perfume, many items are one-of-a-kind and limited in availability. If an item is out of stock, we will notify you with an estimated shipping date. You may cancel your order within 24 hours of notice. If you choose to proceed, the order will be final sale.

Shipping Options

  • Standard shipping applies for orders $249 or less.

  • Free Ground Shipping: $250–$1,000 (U.S. only).

  • Free 2nd Day Shipping: over $1,000.

  • Free Next Day Shipping: over $5,000.

Additional Notes:

  • We do not ship to PO Boxes.

  • A signature is required for insured packages.

  • If you waive the signature requirement, you accept full responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage during shipping.

All orders are subject to availability and will typically be processed within 1–3 business days.

International Orders

At this time, we only ship within the United States.

Credit Information Sharing

We do not share customers' credit card information with any third parties or vendors.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Department LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may result from the use of our website, products, or services. Our liability shall in no case exceed the purchase price paid for the product at issue.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Modifications

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms of Use at any time. The updated version will be posted on our website with the revised effective date.
